The shipper is responsible for all correct information and standards to be followed, in case of any extra cost or/and inability to load due to misinformation or faulty machine, the shipper will be held accountable for.
- If equipped with wheels, all wheels must be intact with fully inflated tires. (Wooden Wheels are not accepted)
- If equipped with tracks, all tracks must be intact and fully functioning.
- Properly running engine. The engine must be able to start on its own or with a quick jump-start only.
- Properly functioning transmission and hydraulic systems. Unit must be able to operate in forward and reverse.
- Properly functioning brakes and steering unit.
- No leaking oil or fluids.
- Fuel tank must be less than ¼ full.
- Fully intact windshields and windows. No broken glass in the unit.
- All safety equipment used during normal operation of a unit must be intact and fully functioning, including but not limited to seat belt, roll-cage and/or safety bar, emergency shut-off or fuel cut-off switches, etc. Please contact NYK if cargo is delivered in a “stripped down” mode (e.g., cab, equipment, etc., is shipped separately and not intact).
- There must be no visible signs of blood or other bodily fluids.
- All federal, state, and local license plates and registration stickers must be removed from the unit prior to receiving at the terminal.
- Please include a NEW or USED description of such cargo upon receipt in terminal and recorded into respective tracking system. This will assist us in identifying potential risk cargo (USED) and assist in evaluating stowage position on board vessel.
- Unless otherwise instructed by NYK RoRo Operations staff, no cargo of any type shall be received if it contains dangerous goods (e.g., pressurized gas, hazardous chemicals, or biohazard materials other than fuel oils and lubricants used during normal operation of the unit). Prior to delivery and receipt, any used cargo that formerly did carry hazardous materials (i.e., fuel trucks or chemical sprayers) must have a certificate of inspection stating that the unit is clean and safe for marine transport.
- Unless otherwise instructed by NYK RoRo Operations staff, no loaded Trailers/Trucks shall be received if it contains any of the following cargo: Asbestos, Used Tires, Automobiles, Military Cargo, Fireworks, Explosives, Flexi-Tanks or Hides. Also, NYK RoRo reserves the right to reject any loaded trailers/trucks deemed unsafe to handle or area unseaworthy.
- Unless otherwise instructed by NYK RoRo Operations staff, no cargo of any type shall be received with personal items, household goods or unmanifested cargo inside the unit. All contents and/or parts to units must be declared and listed on to ensure proper care.
- We inform that our operations shall be subject to random inspection and in case found any of the above restricted cargo listed carrier will have the right to refuse it´s loading w/o liability to same cargo´s storage, handling, or any other involved cost as a result of this act.
- Keys for all locked compartments (e.g., storage boxes, battery compartments, toolboxes, etc.) must be available and kept with the unit when the unit is received at the terminal. This includes any keys for external padlocks. If requested by the customer, these keys can be kept separate from the unit at the terminal and delivered to the Chief Officer when loaded onto the vessel.
- Ensure accurate measurement, length, overall width, and overall height. Measurements must take into account any items that protrude from the main body or unit (e.g., side mirrors, exhausts, booms, arms, cabs, spare tires, ladders, etc.). Measurements should be provided to NYK in metric format.

Static Cargo: (fork-lift and MAFI cargo)
- Units must be able to be safely handled with standard fork-lift equipment. If other equipment is required, please contact NYK RoRo Operations staff to help coordinate delivery as per your terminal contract with NYK.
- Crated cargo must have a center of gravity, dimensions, weight, and handling instructions properly marked. This is to ensure safe storing and handling.
- Lashing points should be clearly visible or marked in order to avoid damaging the unit when lashing on board the vessel.
Cargo destinated to Colombia:
- Washing certificate/receipt/invoice: for used cars.
- Washing and fumigation certificate: for machinery
- A fumigation certificate is a must for all cargo in contact with soil, seeds, or green residues.
Carrier’s terms and conditions stipulated in its Bill of Lading form or Waybill form, as the case may be, shall be applied to this carriage of contract. In case your Company is not an actual shipper to be shown on the BL, this should be notified by your good company to the Shipper named on the Bill of Lading or Waybill.
REMARKS:
- ETA is subject to changes.
- Berth Term at both ends.
- Any Local charges at load/discharge ports are not carrier’s responsibility.
- Subject to the space availability of the nominated vessel.
- Subject to equipment availability (equipment = Roll Trailer (MAFI) & Tug Master).
- Transshipment is at Carrier's option.
- Lashing & Unlashing from/ to Roll Trailer (MAFI) in POL/POD:
- Shipper shall properly stow / secure the cargo onto Roll Trailer at their responsibility and alongside the vessel at POL.
- Unlashing operation from Roll Trailer (MAFI) at POD shall be arranged under consignee's responsibility and cost.
- Lashing points should be clearly visible or marked in order to avoid damaging the unit when lashing on board the vessel.
- Cases and crates shall be stackable conditions with no tier limitation.
- Cargo drawing shall be presented by shipper if requested by carrier.
- Carrier has a right to claim actual loss related to the cargo operation arising from or relating to the cancellation of the shipment after the booking confirmation.
- W/M (Weight/Measurement): The freight shall be determined by the weight or M3 of the freight, whichever is higher.
- For rates ex-Brazil to any Mercosur country, the waiver is subject to approval by local authorities.
